Gobi Manchuri, state government order to ban the use of artificial colors in cotton candy

Bengaluru: The state government has issued an order banning the use of artificial colors in Gobi Manchuri and cotton candy in the state.

Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao, who shared information about this on social networking site X, said that Gobi Manchuri and cotton candy were found to be of poor quality and artificial colors were being used, and in this context, an order was issued banning the use of artificial colors including Rhodamine-B.

Those who use these banned artificial colors will be jailed for up to 7 years and fined up to 10 lakhs. He informed that this is an important step in terms of public health protection.

ಗೋಬಿ ಮಂಚೂರಿ ಹಾಗು ಕಾಟನ್ ಕ್ಯಾಂಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳಪೆ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಹಾಗು ಕೃತಕ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳ ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿದ್ದು ಕಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರೋಡಮೈನ್-ಬಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಕೃತಕ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಷೇಧಿಸಿ ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
