Bengaluru : Covid infection is rampant in different countries of the world and this development has created anxiety in India as well. Against this backdrop, mixed reactions are being expressed in celebrating the New Year with gaiety.

Due to the fear of covid infection, some have celebrated at home, while others have come out and celebrated with gaiety.

Moreover, the police allowed the celebration only till 1 am and also imposed some restrictions which resulted in people not coming out of their homes.

Delhi-based Gayatri Piplani said, “I decided to stay at home as I was working on Sundays as well. Compared to Bangalore, the New Year celebrations are better in Delhi. Because, in Bengaluru, only 1 hour has been allowed.

The rise in covid is a cause for concern, which is also forcing people to stay at home. He said that it is better to spend time with family instead of partying outside and facing hardships.

We spent time together on New Year’s Eve. Three friends who were walking on the road today said that they are returning home now.

Officials said that despite huge crowds at various pubs and restaurants across the city, they are strictly following the Covid-19 protocol issued by the state government to ensure the safety of citizens.

The management of Toit Brewpub in Indiranagar is only allowing mask wearers inside the pub. Three Dots also said it is following all Covid-19 protocols.

Sanitizers are provided at various places in the restaurant and the staff is said to be sanitizing the tables before each new customer arrives.
