NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday participated in the ‘Soil Save Campaign’ as part of World Environment Day. Sadhguru, founder of Isha Foundation was also present.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the people of the world on World Environment Day. Today, the country is celebrating its 75th Independence Day with a new set of resolutions. So this kind of public campaign becomes very important. “I am satisfied that all the projects that have been going on in the country for the past 8 years are one and the same.
The Prime Minister said the clean Bharat mission, the waste minimization program, the construction of modern sewage treatment plants in the Amrit Mission ft cities and the use of single use plastics are the multi-dimensional aspects of India.
India is making this effort while the role of India in climate change is negligible . The Prime Minister complained that the developed countries of the world were responsible for maximum carbon emissions.
India has led the formation of the International Solar Federation
CDRI and the International Solar Union. Last year, India set about achieving a net zero target by 2070. Today, our solar power capacity is nearly 18 times greater. “Whether it’s a hydrogen mission or a matter of circular economic policy, this is the result of our commitment to protecting the environment.”
5 Mantra
to keep the soil alive The country is constantly working hard to keep the soil alive. In order to save the soil, the Prime Minister said that we focused on five key issues: first, how to make the soil chemical free. Second – How to save organisms that live in soil ?, in technical terms it is called soil organic matter. Third- How to maintain soil moisture? Fourth, the Prime Minister said the central government’s focus is on how to prevent soil erosion from low groundwater and fifthly, how to stop soil erosion from forest cover reduction.
” Soil health card benefits
the farmers,” Prime Minister Modi said in the past. To alleviate this problem, a massive campaign was launched to issue a soil health card to the country’s farmers. More than 22 crore soil health cards have been issued to farmers across the country. This has resulted in a cost savings of 8 to 10 per cent for farmers and an increase of 5 to 6 per cent for yield.
