New Delhi : There were reports that the RBI may be thinking about utilizing the pictures of Rabindranath Tagore and A P J Abdul Kalam on new-series cash notes

Reserve Bank of India on Monday explained that it isn’t thinking about changes to the current money and banknotes by supplanting the essence of Mahatma Gandhi with that of others.

“There are reports in specific segments of the media that the Reserve Bank of India is thinking about changes to the current cash and banknotes by supplanting the essence of Mahatma Gandhi with that of others. It very well might be noticed that there is no such proposition in the Reserve Bank,” expressed RBI in a proclamation.

There were reports that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) may be thinking about utilizing the pictures of Rabindranath Tagore and A P J Abdul Kalam, close by Mahatma Gandhi, on the new series of cash notes.
