50% discount again on traffic fines in Karnataka

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Wednesday offered a 50% Discount on all traffic offense fines, This offer by State Government is applicable only to traffic violation cases registered on or before February 11, 2023. The press release from the traffic department said that it was a one-time measure.

It is the third time this year that the Karnataka government has offered intensifying traffic offenses. The past government offered a 50% Discount on traffic fines in February and March this year.
The traffic police was successful in collecting over Rs 120 crore fines from 4.5 lakh traffic cases during the two months. Now the motorists have been given an opportunity to pay half of the fine till September 9.
