Bengaluru: The Department of Education has given a sweet news to the students who will write the SSLC and Second PUC annual examination which will be held in the month of March-April 2022-23 and it is said that they will give grace this time like last year.

Due to covid last year SSLC and second PUC students were given grace. The same grace is being given to the students this year as well. Sources in the Education Department said that 10% bonus will be given to SSLC students who score the minimum overall marks and 5% bonus to second PUC students.

Also, children who have not fully recovered from the effects of Covid-19 on learning, it has been decided to give grace in 2023. The board has informed that till 2019, 5% gratuity was given. The exam was not conducted in 2020 due to Corona. All were passed in 2021. 10 percent gratuity was given in 2022. SSLC and Secondary PU students will also get grace this year. The Karnataka School Examination and Evaluation Board has decided to give 10% bonus to SSLC students and 5% bonus to second PUC students who score minimum overall marks.

If three out of 6 subjects are passed in SSLC, the remaining three subjects will get marks from minimum 1 to maximum 26 marks. But, for 625 marks, minimum 219 marks will be given. Out of 100 marks exam, 20 marks will be oral and 80 marks will be written. A minimum of 28 marks should be obtained out of 80 marks. However, some students scored high in some subjects and scored low in some subjects.

This student-friendly rule is made with the objective that a student who has secured the minimum qualifying marks to pass should not fail. Similarly, a student who has secured at least 210 marks out of 600 marks in second PUC can get maximum 10 marks in two subjects i.e. 5 per cent, i.e. 5 marks each, according to the Karnataka School Examination and Evaluation Board.
